Grundig Secures Stadium Naming Rights at FC Nurnberg

German Bundesliga club FC Nurnberg has agreed a four-year stadium naming rights partnership with Grundig, order the German electronics company.
Grundig have secured the rights over three other firms and the venue will now be renamed the Grundig Stadion.
Murat Sahin, CEO of Grundig Intermedia, said: “It is only logical that we further this commitment in the form of naming sponsorship. We have not lost our affinity for football, and we still have the old images with Grundig jerseys hanging up in our meeting rooms.
“For decades we have been neighbours, friends and fans of the club.”
Ralf Woy, CEO of finance and administration at FC Nurnberg, added: “We are pleased that with Grundig we have acquired a global company as a new naming partner for the stadium. With Grundig we have a long-standing, reliable sponsor by our side.
“The company, as main shirt sponsor from 1977 to 1981 and through several years as a club partner, has a fixed position in the sponsorship family of this club.
“We know that Grundig is a company that has always identified with FC Nürnberg wholeheartedly.”
Grundig’s headquarters are based in Nurnberg and the company already serve as a partner to the team.
