Good Energy Becomes Official Energy Partner of Bath Rugby
December 19, 2012
Chippenham-based Good Energy, the UK’s leading 100% renewable electricity firm has been named the Official Energy Partner of Bath Rugby.
Good Energy will support Bath Rugby in its efforts to become more sustainable. Electricity supplied by Good Energy will be used to power both the Recreation Ground and the Farleigh House training facility. All Good Energy electricity is sourced in the UK from natural sunlight, wind and water. So for each major home match played at the Recreation Ground, approximately ¾ tonne carbon is saved.
In addition, Good Energy hopes to support Bath Rugby to generate more renewable electricity itself at Farleigh House, building on progress already made following installation of solar panels.
Bath Rugby second row Dave Attwood said: “This is a great partnership for Bath Rugby. The Club is very keen to keep linking up with ambitious local companies, and Good Energy are a fantastic example of a that. We are constantly looking at ways to improve and develop our energy sustainability, and Good Energy have been really helpful so far, and I’m sure they will continue to be as the partnership develops.”
Juliet Davenport, CEO and founder of Good Energy, added: “Good Energy is different. When you call our award-winning customer care team, you will get straight through to an expert who is fluent in energy and can help you with everything from a simple meter reading to how to generate your own renewable power. We are proud to partner Bath Rugby as our local side, and we look forward to working with them to lower the Club’s carbon footprint in the future.”
