Golfers John Parry & Zane Scotland Secure New Sponsor

May 20, 2014

Arbuthnot Latham & Co., the private banking and wealth management arm of the Arbuthnot Banking Group, has agreed to sponsor European Tour player John Parry and 2013 MENA Tour champion Zane Scotland.

Parry, 27, has been playing on the prestigious European Tour for three years, and won the inaugural Vivendi Cup in France during his 2010 rookie year.

“I am delighted that Arbuthnot Latham has partnered with me,” said Parry. “The European Tour is a perfect environment for them to gain exposure given that we play all around the world. I’m proud to be associated with such a prestigious and well respected group.”

Scotland won the MENA Tour last year from start to finish and has won six titles (four last year) since the inception of the tour in 2011. The 31-year-old will continue to play on the Challenge Tour this year and also select European Tour events.

Commenting on this new association, Scotland said, “It’s great to have this partnership with Arbuthnot Latham. With them opening an office in Dubai, where I had so much success last year, it couldn¹t be better timing and I look forward to being able to increase their exposure in the Middle East.”

Welcoming the partnership with John Parry and Zane Scotland, Arbuthnot Latham’s Chief Executive, James Fleming, said, “Arbuthnot Latham is delighted to partner both John Parry and Zane Scotland, two outstanding golfers from the Mark Blundell, MB Partners stable.

“There already exist synergies between Arbuthnot Latham and MB Partners. We have recently established our first international office in Dubai and I know that Zane in particular concentrates on the MENA Tour. Additionally, as a ‘Golf in Dubai Ambassador’ we will be watching his progress with interest.”

Parry’s next event is the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club in Surrey, May 22-25. Scotland will be playing the D+D Real Czech Challenge in the Czech Republic, May 29 – June 1.
