October 12, 2016
Gavin Gleave has been confirmed as a shareholder and non-executive Director of Gloucester Rugby with immediate effect.
Gleave will work closely with the club’s Chairman Martin St Quinton, CEO Stephen Vaughan and Director of Rugby David Humphreys, assisting with the implementation of the club’s strategy and the link between the board and rugby matters.
Through his company, F3 Group, Gleave has recently funded the development of the new Fanzone at Kingsholm which was opened ahead of the recent Aviva Premiership clash against Newcastle Falcons, and which has been warmly received by supporters.
Gavin Gleave said today: “I’ve played rugby and been involved in the sport since I was a boy. To be given the chance to help shape the future of Gloucester Rugby is an immense honour and a task I can’t wait to start.
“I’m hugely passionate about the game but I’m also a businessman and know that it’s important that the success of the team is matched by the wider success of the club in other areas.”
Martin St Quinton added: “I’ve known and worked with Gavin over a number of years and I know he will be an excellent addition to the board. He has a love of the game of course coupled with a real vision for the future of the club.”
