Glamorgan Cricket Inks Kit Deal with Gray-Nicolls

February 29, 2012

Glamorgan CCC have signed a four-year kit deal with innovative worldwide brand Gray-Nicolls.

The deal will see the Sussex-based firm supply playing kit, ed training gear, replica kit and leisure wear featuring essential items such as polos, caps, sun hats, fleeces and rain jackets.

A range of training clothing is available now in the club shop at the SWALEC Stadium and online at www.glamorgancricket.com, with the extended range – including the Welsh Dragons coloured shirt – available nearer the start of the season.

Glamorgan sales director Pete Grzonka said: “We’re really excited to be associated with a brand of the quality of Gray-Nicolls.

“They offer a wealth of cricketing and clothing experience and I look forward to developing an exciting range for players and supporters over the next four years. We’ve been really impressed with the quality and fit of the Gray-Nicolls clothing.”

The contract gives Gray-Nicolls, who have a history stretching back 157 years, exclusive rights to provide playing and replica clothing for Glamorgan.

Gray-Nicolls sales and marketing director Richard Gray said: “We’re delighted to have been selected by Glamorgan Cricket as their official clothing supplier.

“This underlines the quality of Gray-Nicolls clothing and its reputation on the professional circuit; it’s already the choice of Essex, Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire and Yorkshire CCCs.

“Gray-Nicolls have enjoyed a long and successful relationship with many stars over the years, including Alastair Cook, so we’re excited to be playing a key role at Glamorgan as they and their fabulous stadium enter another big year on the county and international scene.

“The Welsh county represent cricket for Glamorgan and the whole of Wales and Gray-Nicolls are a leading sportswear name so this partnership will benefit both parties.”

Gray-Nicolls will also launch with two new replica shirts ahead of the 2012 season. They will be seen on the backs of the Glamorgan team for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

In addition to their new whites, Glamorgan will have a modern-looking Welsh Dragons Clydesdale Bank 40 and a Friends Life t20 shirt. Supporters will be able to personalise their tops with the name and number of their favourite player.

The new kits will be revealed before the season and will be worn by the likes of skipper Mark Wallace and home-grown international heroes Simon Jones and Robert Croft.
