Germany to Bid for 2015 EuroBasket to Replace Ukraine

Germany is set to submit a bid to host the 2015 EuroBasket competition, buy after the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) stripped Ukraine of the hosting rights.

The country’s governing body for basketball (DBB) will face competition from 10 other countries and are still finalising venue details.

DBB’s Sports Director Peter Radegast simply said: “We will make our case.”

FIBA Europe, who run the competition, took the tournament off of Ukraine due to the political crisis in the country.
