Star Sports names Gautam Thakar as new Chief Executive Officer

21st Century Fox-owned Indian sports network Star Sports has appointed Gautam Thakar as its Chief Executive Officer.
Gautam brings over 20 years’ operating and leadership experience, having most recently held a key position at LivingSocial. He also spent ten years at eBay in a range of leadership roles, including country manager for eBay India and global marketing leader for eBay’s international markets.
Earlier in his career Gautum helped develop baazee.com into a major e-commerce company and was also a brand manager with P&G in India.
