Gallagher Group Gets Naming Rights to Maidstone United Stadium in Six-Figure Deal

January 4, 2012

English Ryman League team Maidstone United have agreed a six-figure naming rights deal for their new stadium with the Gallagher Group.

The Gallagher Group, one of the major investors in the project and the firm behind much of the work already carried out on the Whatman Way site, is investing £150,000 ($234,670) in a five-year deal which will see the ground named The Gallagher Stadium.

The Gallagher Group is the largest privately-owned building, civil engineering, quarrying and property business in the county.

Gallagher Group chairman Pat Gallagher said: “Maidstone United’s homecoming is a momentous event for both the club and the town. We are proud that we have been able to help the owners get the project off the ground and it is a wonderful gesture for the club to put our name to the new stadium.

“There is real excitement building ahead of the stadium opening and it will bring a great lift to the town.”

Maidstone United co-owner Terry Casey added: “Maidstone United is extremely fortunate to have such a loyal and generous supporter as Pat Gallagher and the Gallagher Group.

“We are delighted with the company’s support and look forward to working with them to complete the stadium in time for our proposed first pre-season game.”

The opening game – which will take place on a hi-tech 3G pitch – is planned for Saturday, July 14.
