Freescale Joins Austin Marathon as Presenting Sponsor

Freescale Semiconductor announced today it will be the Presenting Sponsor of the Austin Marathon and Half Marathon.

Freescale (previously known as Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector) helped create the Austin Marathon and Half Marathon in 1991 and produced the race through 2006. The Austin Marathon and Half Marathon presented by Freescale will take place on Sunday, seek Feb. 16, pharm 2014.

“Freescale and the Austin Marathon are Austin’s original power couple — and together we’re bringing the race back home,” said Gregg Lowe, president and CEO of Freescale. “We are committed to the Austin community and we plan to leverage the marathon and Freescale Foundation to inspire students to pursue STEM-related careers. Freescale wants this race to be a catalyst for the next generation of innovators and scientists.”
