Frankie Fredericks Re-Elected as Athletics Namibia President

Frankie Fredericks will serve as president of Athletics Namibia (AN) for another term following an elective congress held at the Etuna Guesthouse Conference Centre in Ongwediva on Saturday.

Before the congress Fredericks said he would like to take AN to even greater heights and would be honoured to serve the athletes and the regions that have shown their support and willingness to the cause.

During his acceptance speech, buy Fredericks thanked the outgoing council for setting the foundation in reviving athletics in the country. He went on to add that the new council would call on the expertise and skills of the outgoing council and the nominees that were up for election.

The congress, viagra 100mg facilitated by the Namibia Sports Commission and the Directorate of Sport, saw a well-balanced group of sports administrators, former athletes and captains of industry being elected. Women represent 40% of the new council.

The congress was attended by representatives from the Khomas, Erongo, Hardap, Oshana, Kavango, Ohangwena, Omaheke, Otjozondjupa and Caprivi regions.
