FiXI Extend Naming Rights for WSB’s Crescent Racing

October 8, 2012

FiXI have extended their sponsorship of World Superbike Championship team, Crescent Racing for a further year.

Currently the sole Suzuki representative in the WSBK paddock, Crescent Racing stepped up to the world championship in 2012 after several seasons competing at domestic level with FIXI, a prominent financial company, originally coming on board as a partner.

However, the company upped its commitment to title backer from round five at Donington Park and has confirmed it will now continue to support the Crescent team to the end of the 2013 season.

The deal means FIXI Crescent Racing will remain a two-bike team next year, where it will continue to compete with Suzuki machinery.

“The commercial world isn’t getting any easier, and therefore we are delighted to have secured FIXI’s continued partnership into 2013,” said Paul Denning, who was this week announced as taking over from Jack Valentine as team manager.

“Our job now is to repay the faith that Richard and his co-directors at FIXI have demonstrated, and to develop the performance level further from the greatly improved base we now have.

“Equally, we need to help FIXI with a range of off-track activities that will assist the awareness and understanding of their business in different markets across the world.

“This is one very important step towards the GSX-R1000 becoming a true contender in WSBK once again, and on behalf of Crescent and Suzuki we thank FIXI for its trust, and look forward to some exciting times in 2013 together.”
