Five Bidding Cities for 2019 Universiades Confirmed

The International University Sports Federation (FISU) have today confirmed the five candidate cities for the 2019 Universiades. The cities bidding for the 2019 Summer Universiade are: Baku (Azerbaijan), viagra  Brasilia (Brazil) and Budapest (Hungary). Bidding for the 2019 Winter Universiade are Krasnoyarsk (Russia) and Valais (Switzerland).

FISU President Claude-Louis Gallien said: “We are very pleased with these five candidates. Once again it is proof that University Sport is very much alive and cities are eager to host our flagship events to welcome and to share the University Sport spirit of Excellence in Mind and Body.”

The bidding cities will now prepare their candidate dossier, to be presented on 14 September, before inspection visits from 16 September to 20 October. 

FISU will hold a seminar for bidding city executives in May and candidate cities will make a final presentation to the FISU board on November 9.
