FIVB Signs Rosetta Stone Partnership

The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has announced a new partnership with Rosetta Stone Inc.

As the new, ed official language-learning partner of the FIVB, Rosetta Stone will provide its trusted language-learning solutions to the referees and staff of the FIVB with the goal of helping all referees become proficient in the English language.

“How effectively our players and referees communicate during matches is critical to the success of our sport,” saidDr. Ary S. Graça F°, President of the FIVB. “Language diversity has significant impact on how we’re currently playing the game. We knew we had to find a solution and Rosetta Stone was the clear choice as the industry leader.”

Volleyball has experienced unprecedented growth over the last decade, and the FIVB is the largest sporting federation in the world with 220 member federations.  As the governing body responsible for all forms of volleyball on a global level, the FIVB upholds the highest standards and took great care in selecting Rosetta Stone as its exclusive partner.

As part of this two-year partnership—which officially kicks off in January 2015—Rosetta Stone will enjoy prominent brand visibility at all major international FIVB events, including the Beach Volleyball World Championships, World League Finals, World Grand Prix Finals, World Cup and the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Finals.

Additionally, Rosetta Stone will work with the FIVB to design and supply Rosetta Stone-branded uniforms for all FIVB referees and the company will supply two language licenses to all National Federations of the FIVB. Athletes, fans and FIVB member federations will also be able to take advantage of special offers to purchase Rosetta Stone solutions. Social media will also factor into the partnership as the FIVB and Rosetta Stone will work together to create unique and innovative ways to engage and activate their online communities.

The partnership further expands Rosetta Stone’s footprint in the world of sports, as it is currently the language-learning provider of choice for various U.S. sports teams, including the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals and Major League Baseball’s Washington Nationals, and many athletes worldwide.
