FIBA & Tissot Extend Global Partnership Deal

FIBA, abortion the International Basketball Federation, discount have announced an extension of their global partnership with Tissot, the Swiss watch brand.

The four-year deal lasts through 2016. Tissot will continue as Global Partner of all main FIBA competitions and the new agreement will also include timekeeping and data services.

Under the terms of the deal, Tissot have been named the Official Watch and Official Timekeeper of FIBA. The Swiss brand will also present the MVP and Best Five awards of each FIBA competition.

Tissot’s association with FIBA began in 2008 and the brand have since added San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker as brand ambassador.

Parker said: “I am very pleased to see that Tissot continues to support the development of basketball at an international level. Playing for the national team has a very special dimension and the FIBA competitions give a huge boost to the growth of basketball across the globe.”

FIBA Secretary General and International Olympic Committee (IOC) Member Patrick Baumann added: “We are very excited to continue our relationship with Tissot, a solid and exciting quality brand that, like ourselves, is based in Switzerland and has strong global ambitions.

“The partnership with Tissot has delivered great benefits for FIBA in the past and we look forward to jointly making a next step in the new cycle.”
