FIA Turns Down Approaches For New Teams on F1 Grid

The International Motorsport Federation (FIA) has rejected applications from two bidders to enter new teams on the Formula One grid for the 2016 season, meaning the season will once again contain 11 teams.

Motorsport’s governing body invited candidates to submit bids in May, but the two bidding teams did not meet the FIA’s criteria.
