July 4, 2014

Formula One team Ferrari has signed a sponsorship agreement with Haas Automation that will see the firm’s logo on the team’s side pods at this weekend’s British Grand Prix.

The agreement with the North American computer numerical control (CNC) machine tool building firm will run until the end of the 2015 F1 season.

Scuderia Ferrari team principal Marco Mattiacci said: “This agreement strengthens our existing connections with the USA, treat an important market not only for our company, drugs but also for Scuderia Ferrari, as it is one where the team already benefits from several important partnerships.

“In parallel, but as a separate project, Haas is committed to entering Formula One with its own team, a testimony to the growing appeal of our sport in the USA, and on this front, technical discussions are ongoing between us.”

The deal marks the first time Haas Automation have entered Formula One, but they will be the title sponsor of Gene Haas’ team in 2016 when they launch.
