FEI Sign Six-Year Broadcast Renewal With Sky Mexico

December 11, 2014

The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) has announced a multi-year broadcast deal with Sky Mexico.

This is the second major multi-year broadcast deal inside a week for the FEI after renewing its partnership with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and IMG through until the end of 2022.

The new six-year agreement with Sky Mexico secures a long term on-screen presence of equestrian sport across Mexico and the Central American and Caribbean regions.

The renewed cooperation with Sky Mexico covers the affiliates that come under the Sky Mexico umbrella in Mexico, ailment Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panamá.

The deal includes the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games and the FEI European Championships in the Olympic disciplines of Jumping, Dressage and Eventing in 2015, 2017, and 2019.

“Our sport is getting bigger and the world is getting smaller as we increase our coverage in traditional territories and expand into developing ones with agreements like the one with Sky Mexico”, FEI Secretary General Ingmar De Vos said.

“This new agreement documents the successful relationship with our main broadcast partner in the region and clearly expresses our shared confidence in the bright future and further development of our sport.

“We are very much looking forward to a close partnership with the channel and to proactively building the sport’s potential in the different countries.

“We are excited to have strong and committed partners in these Latin American territories through Sky Mexico and its affiliates.”
