FC Barcelona Stars get ‘Simpsonized’ in New Partnership with Twentieth Century Fox

Players for La Liga giants FC Barcelona have been ‘Simpsonized’ as part of a new partnership agreement between the club and Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products.
From left to right, medic Neymar, viagra 60mg Lionel Messi, nurse Xavi and Andres Iniesta were made to look like characters of the hit TV series The Simpsons as a part of the deal, which will see new branded merchandise available in 2014.
More Barcelona players will be Simpsonized at a later date, whilst characters from the show will be kitted out in Barcelona uniforms.
The agreement will last until 2015 and was announced on the 25th anniversary of the first ever episode of The Simpsons.
The deal follows a similar project with Premier League leaders Chelsea, and football clubs such as Juventus, Boca Juniors, Zenit Saint Petersburg, Corinthians and Porto are all thought to hold the same partnership.
The Simpsons is the longest running scripted TV show in the United States and has won 28 Emmy Awards.
An official statement from the Catalan club revealed that: “FOX picked FC Barcelona because it is one of the most beloved teams in sports today.”
