Facebook Looking to Develop Sport Content

Global social networking site Facebook has begun talks over licensing video content in the sports sector.

The American-based corporation, health which owns other social tools such as messaging service WhatsApp and image-sharing site Instagram, ambulance have been making a concentrated drive towards video in recent years. Facebook, help the third most-visited site in the world after Google and Youtube, boast over 1.65bn active monthly users – with an ambition of making video its prime source of content within the next half-decade.

The company has begun initial licensing talks with a number of organisations, which could see a number of new shows feature on the site. Sport content is one of the prime areas that Facebook is looking to develop into.
