Exclusive: Alpari Look to Expand Global Sports Portfolio

Global forex broker Alpari, here are looking to expand into further sports after striking deals in sailing and Premier League football.

After becoming the shirt sponsor for West Ham United and the title sponsor of the World Match Racing Tour, order Alpari will use a global and local approach to enter into new sports sponsorship deals.

Speaking exclusively to iSportconnect, search David Hodge, Chief Marketing Officer said: “We are always looking at new opportunities and have a global approach and a local approach.

“So globally we will have two or three properties; football and sailing are our two global properties at the moment, but we also have local properties. For example, we are sponsoring the Dubai Tennis Classic which has been arranged by our local office in the Middle East. We are also sponsoring the equivalent of the Champions League over there – the Arabs Cup.

“In the USA, our local office has arranged sponsorship of Madison Square Garden, so we get exposure when the Knicks and the Rangers are playing. All our local offices have a budget to use for local activation initiatives.

“So we are part global, part local.”
