Eurosport Attracts 33 Million to FIFA Women’s World Cup

Eurosport has revealed the group stages of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup drew an audience of 33.8 million people across its two channels.

The most viewed match of the group stages was the encounter between France and England which had an average live audience of 1.2 million.

Arnaud Simon, SVP, Content and Production for the Eurosport Group, said: “We are only just coming out of the group stages and this year’s Women’s World Cup has already been an exciting one, with some promising figures demonstrating the popularity of women’s football on our platform.”
