ESPN Star Sports Acquire Rights to Broadcast Spanish La Liga Soccer in Asia

ESPN Star Sports (ESS) has gained exclusive rights to Spain’s premier soccer league, La Liga, for the next three years.

Asia’s biggest sports content broadcaster has won the rights to beam live action from up to 380 La Liga games across eighteen countries in the continent from 2012 to 2015. The deal adds to ESPN Star Sports’ existing coverage of the English Premier League, Uefa Champions League, English FA Cup and England home matches, and major tournaments from the Asian Football Confederation.

The multi-platform deal includes standard, HD and 3D television broadcasting through its ESPN Star Sports and ESPN HD channels, in addition to online streaming through the ESPN Player and on mobile via Mobile ESPN.
