ESPN Secure World TeamTennis Rights in Four Year Deal

June 25, 2014

ESPN will broadcast the World TeamTennis (WTT) competition after a four-year deal was agreed.

The finals of the US-based event will be broadcast on ESPN2, therapy with a total of 60 hours of programming a year through their online, on-demand service ESPN3.

ESPN3 will also live stream a match from each night of the tournament, which will increase the WTT’s digital presence in its 39th year, something Chief Executive and Commissioner Ilana Kloss was eager to point out.

Kloss said: “Access is a cornerstone of our league and this partnership gives us a broader platform to showcase the best in professional team tennis competition and to introduce more fans to our brand.”

The WTT season starts on July 7 and features former US Open champion Andy Roddick and 2013 Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli.
