EPCR Sign Broadcast Deal With France Télévisions

European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) has announced a deal with France Télévisions for the broadcast rights in France to the European Rugby Champions Cup and the European Rugby Challenge Cup.

The deal will run for four years from 2014/15 to the end of the 2017/18 season.

With this latest agreement, ECPR has completed its television broadcast agreements in France having previously announced a partnership with beIN Sports which will also run for four seasons.

France Télévisions will broadcast a top match in all rounds of the European Rugby Champions Cup as well as one match in the European Rugby Challenge Cup.

Both of these matches will also be televised live by beIN SPORTS who will also show every Champions Cup match live.

René Fontes, EPCR Director and Executive Committee member, said : “We are delighted that the television coverage of the competitions in France is now agreed and we welcome both France Télévisions, who have been associated with European professional club rugby since its inception in 1995, and beIN SPORTS as our broadcast partners for the next four years.

“This new partnership along with our sale of TV rights in other territories will see a major increase in EPCR’s broadcast revenues.”
