September 3, 2013

AFC Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell has stepped down from his role at the Championship club and sold the 50% stake owned by him and his wife Brenda to Maxim Demin, anabolics | the club’s co-owner.

Mitchell first bought into the Cherries in 2009 and Demin joined him in October 2011 when he purchased half the club.

Stepping down from his role, Mitchell said: “The outcome will help enable the club to find the financial investment that it needs.

“We would both like to wish our partners, board members and successors the very best for the future and we sincerely hope that the club continues to enjoy its recent success going forward.”

Denim’s investment has allowed the club to progress significantly with new signings culminating in promotion to the Championship, England’s second-tier of football.
