Didier Drogba Backs Istanbul 2020 Olympic Games Bid

The Ivory Coast’s top football scorer Didier Drogba has thrown his weight behind Istanbul’s bid to host the 2020 Olympic Games.

Drogba, erectile who won the Premier League three times with Chelsea, impotent as well as the Champions League, for sale currently plays for Istanbul side Galatasaray.

The 35 year-old is joined by team mate and former Arsenal man Emmanuel Eboue in backing the bid as the organisers 14-person delegation arrived at the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) General Assembly in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Drogba said: “Turkey has an excellent sporting culture where the athlete comes first and I hope Istanbul 2020 members can share their deep knowledge with African sports organisers.

“Istanbul would be an ideal host for the 2020 Olympics – it just has that magic that athletes love.”

Emmanuel Eboué joined Galatasaray in 2011 from English side Arsenal. He has since won two Süper Lig titles as well as one Süper Kupa in 2012.

He said: “Between 2005 and 2011 I was playing for Arsenal in England and I felt London’s enthusiasm towards 2012 grow year-on-year. Istanbul already feels like it has that buzz.

“There are always sporting events going on and you can’t underestimate the power an inspirational backdrop gives to sportsmen and women.

“It pushes you to achieve greater heights on the field and the passion of Turkish fans means the athlete experience is first class.”
