D.C. United Announce New Executive Management

Major League Soccer (MLS) team D.C. United have introduced Michael Williamson, allergist Doug Hicks and Mike Schoenbrun to their executive management team.

Williamson will serve as D.C.’s Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer, medicine overseeing all business operations, whilst Hicks has become the Chief Marketing Officer, leading all communications, promotional and branding initiatives.

On top of these changes, long serving Corporate Partnership Executive, Mike Schoenbrun, will join the leadership team as Vice President, Business Development and Partnerships.

United’s General Partner, Jason Levien said: “We are entering a dynamic period in the organization’s history. Michael, Doug and Mike have unique and broad bases of experience and I’m confident they will effectively lead the club’s business efforts and enhance its trajectory.”

Williamson joined D.C. United in 2007 as the Chief Financial Officer and has been responsible for accounting, financial, cash management, budgetary and reporting aspects of the club.

Hicks had joined the club as the Vice President of Communications in 2001 and managed all community and public relations, broadcasting and digital media initiatives since then.

Schoenbrun most recently served as Vice President and Associate publisher of Foreign Policy, a division of Washington Post Company.
