DAZN Appoint Diquattro For Italy

July 4, 2018

Sports streaming service DAZN has appointed Veronica Diquattro as Executive Vice President-Revenue in Italy to bolster its business in the country.

Prior to her new role, Diquattro was Managing Director for Southern and Eastern Europe. As Executive Vice President-Revenue in Italy, she will work to establish DAZN in the market with fans and partners.

The news follows the Perform-owned platform’s recent entry into the Italian market, after securing exclusive broadcast rights for Serie A and B over three seasons.

James Rushton, CEO of DAZN, said of the appointment: “We are thrilled to welcome Veronica to lead our burgeoning sport streaming business in Italy for what will be a breakout year as we rapidly expand there and around the world.

“We’re leading the charge to give sport fans a better and fairer way to watch their favourite teams and stars on any device, doing for sport what Spotify has done for music, so Veronica’s experience will be invaluable. She is hugely talented and a great cultural fit for DAZN, with a shared vision for doing things differently. Veronica will play a crucial role in shaping the next chapter of our growth story.”

Commenting on her appointment, Diquattro added: “DAZN is turning the sport broadcasting business on its head by putting fans in control of what, when, how and where they watch with an affordable and accessible service tailor-made for today’s modern viewing habits. The premium sport content and intuitive best-in-class technology will appeal to both current and potential sport subscribers; Italian fans are ready for a new and dynamic way to watch and I’m delighted to be heading up the team to lead the change.”
