October 5, 2011

Danske Bank and the Danish Football Association (DBU) have secured a commercial partnership making Danske Bank the primary sponsor of DBU’s various men’s national football teams, illness with the agreement lasting between 1 January 2012 to 31 July 2016.

Danske Bank has supported Danish football for many years, ailment | and this partnership will increase its support for the development of Danish football.

Tonny Thierry Andersen, prostate head of Danske Bank Denmark, said: “This close partnership brings together Denmark’s biggest bank and Denmark’s biggest sport. No other sport in Denmark has more active participants, spectators and fans than football. The national team especially has a unique power to unite many Danes. It is therefore only natural that Danske Bank – whose customers include almost every third Dane – thus helps to ensure a continuation of the broad popular support that characterises the Danish national football team.”

Tonny Thierry Andersen is pleased that the parties succeeded in negotiating an agreement that enables the Bank to begin its sponsorship as soon as 1 January.

“For us, the agreement with DBU is not just a logo sponsorship. It is a partnership that is long-term, mutual and beneficial for both parties. We believe that we can learn from each other – and achieve good results together. Danske Bank can help Danish football at all levels to stand stronger – and football can give us an even stronger bond and shared values with our customers. There is a clear commercial logic in our entry into this partnership,” Andersen added.
