Dallas Consider Bid for 2024 Olympic Games

February 21, 2013

The CEO of Dallas 2024 has said that he thinks Dallas is ‘further along’ then some cities in their bid to host the 2024 Olympic Games.

Matt Wood, CEO of Dallas 2024, the group working with Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) leaders to promote Dallas’ benefits for the Games, promoted their chances after the USOC invited cities in the USA to bid.

Wood said: “We’re further along than some other cities and we have more resources here than other cities may have ready to go; it just makes it the easiest choice for them”.

If selected, Dallas would take over the naming rights of the Games, but locations across Texas would be used, including Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
