Crystal Palace President Peter Morley CBE Passes Away

Crystal Palace have announced the passing away of Club President Peter Morley, drugs CBE at the age of 84.

Morley died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday evening at the Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley.

He was Chairman of the Eagles during the club’s administration period in the late nineties and was made Club President in 2000, a role he has held ever since.

A statement on the Premier League club’s official website read: “Peter was a tremendous ambassador for the club in various roles over many years including serving a number of years as Chairman of The Vice-Presidents Club

“He will be sadly missed by all at the club and condolences are sent to wife Paula and daughters Fran and Alex.”

Morley was awarded the CBE in 1994 for his services to vocational training and had a keen interest in many sports including motor racing, cricket, football and horse racing,
