Coventry City to Finish Season at Ricoh Arena

March 28, 2013

Coventry City have agreed a short-term deal that will allow them to play their remaining home games this season at the Ricoh Arena.

Coventry have been involved in a legal dispute with Arena Coventry Ltd (ACL) over unpaid rent for the use of the stadium. The League One club emptied their offices and club shop at the Ricoh Arena last week, unhealthy leading to reports that they may play their remaining home games elsewhere.

Paul Appleton, prostate joint administrator for Coventry City FC Ltd and Arena Coventry Ltd, announced the news in a statement this morning.

A Coventry statement said: “We apologise profusely to fans about the confusion. We are delighted this has now been resolved.

“We can now look forward to playing current league leaders Doncaster on Friday 29 March in the hope of doing the double over them.

“Moving forward, we hope that we can continue a constructive dialogue with ACL with the aim of securing a sustainable future for the club at the Ricoh Arena.”

The Sky Blues are awaiting official ratification from the Football League of the 10 point penalty incurred for going into administration.
