Confederations Cup Tops European Ratings, British GP Runner-Up

The Confederations Cup on Sunday pulled the biggest audiences of the day in Spain and Italy, doctor the two European countries in action on the pitch.
In Spain, Telecinco averaged 10.661 million viewers and a share of 70.3% for Spain versus Brazil in the final.
In Italy, RAI 1 drew 7.352 million and a 45.23% share for Italy versus Uruguay in the game for third place, peaking at 10.975 million for the deciding penalty shoot-out won by the Italians.
The final won by Brazil shown later averaged 3.026 million and a share of 39.19%
British GP runner-up in the ratings
The British Grand Prix yesterday pulled the second biggest of the day in Spain behind the Confederations Cup final.
Coverage of the afternoon race on Antena 3 averaged 4.31 million viewers.In Italy, the F1 race was also number two with delayed coverage on RAI 2 averaging 4.131 million and share of 19.0%.
Nico Rosberg’s win for Mercedes pulled 5.36 million viewers for RTL in Germany with a share of 35.5%.
The audience for the afternoon race was third biggest of the day (excluding news) behind two primetime offerings.
