Scottish Gymnastics has embarked on an exciting journey with a 12 year strategy that will see the growth of ‘a strong Scottish Gymnastics, inspiring and nurturing emerging talent’. Key to the success of this vision is the effectiveness of our communication and marketing strategy.
Using your wide-ranging communications skills, you will be responsible for developing a clear communications strategy for the organisation and, using your influence both internally and externally, implement and deliver your strategy.
In addition to leading on the development of a communications strategy, setting the direction for the organisation’s communications, you will also have responsibility for marketing all events and activities, media relations, social media platforms and developing content and material to promote Scottish Gymnastics and its work. This will include designing material as part of promotional campaigns.
The successful candidate will have experience in developing and executing both external and internal communications strategies as well as delivering promotional and revenue returns from a wide mix of marketing and communications activities. The role requires candidates to be able to provide direction and influence and be able to develop strong, effective working relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
Candidates will require excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills along with the ability to work on their own initiative, is pro-active and able to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines. Candidates will need knowledge of Microsoft Office products and significant experience with using, developing and maximising social media platforms and strategies and have a flair for creative design.
