Colt Mackenzie McNair Hired to Recruit Golf Club Managers’ Association CEO

October 23, 2012

Colt Mackenzie McNair, doctor golf’s premier executive recruitment specialist, has been appointed exclusively to find the next Chief Executive Officer of the Golf Club Managers’ Association, an important organisation that supports up to 2,000 golf club secretaries and managers across Great Britain and Ireland.

Following the announcement that current CEO, Keith Lloyd, will leave his role next February, the Weston-Super-Mare based body, sitting at the heart of the UK golf industry, has turned to Colt Mackenzie McNair’s executive recruitment expertise to find his successor.

The GCMA, through its network of 17 regional secretaries across GB & Ireland, provides members with a comprehensive library of services that includes training courses, networking meetings, a member-only trade publication, national conference and valuable liaison with other golf bodies.

Mike Hoare, Chairman of the GCMA, commented: “It is essential Keith’s successor has the vision and necessary executive skills to take our internationally recognised body forwards, and Colt Mackenzie McNair, operating and advising many of the industries leading companies, clubs and associations, is perfectly placed to assist.”

Leading the search, Ian Timberlake, CMM’s Principal Consultant for Europe, added: “It is encouraging to see the GCMA Board of Management has recognised the importance of using external search and recruitment expertise to find its next leader. CMM’s networks, benchmarking processes and detailed selection procedures will ensure the next CEO of the GCMA is perfectly placed to lead this high-profile golf trade body.”
