Turner Scott Motorsports announced today that global brand Cold Stone Creamery will sponsor the No. 30 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Nelson Piquet Jr. in this weekend’s NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) 5-hour ENERGY 200 race at Dover International Speedway.

“Piquet Jr.’s competitiveness, leadership and confidence, both in his keen racing acumen and in his team, is without a doubt something to admire”, said Dan Beem, President of Cold Stone Creamery. “Jumping into the racing world with Turner Scott Motorsports is an incredible opportunity for our brand to be a part of and is going to be a great ride. Nelson has thrilled race fans the continents over with his mature, controlled, yet aggressive brand of racing. We look forward to being a part of this winning car and team.”

Piquet Jr., who is competing in his first full season in the NNS for Turner Scott Motorsports, became the first Brazilian to win in one of NASCAR’s top-three national touring series events when he took the checkered flag last year at Road America.

“I am thrilled to have Cold Stone on the car this weekend at Dover,” said Piquet Jr. “It’s a great company, and I really enjoy getting their ice cream and shakes when I am craving something sweet. It’s great to have a new company like Cold Stone in the sport of NASCAR, and I am looking forward to getting them a great finish this weekend at Dover.”

The 5-hour ENERGY 200 at Dover International Speedway will be held on Saturday, September 28. The race will air live on ESPN, MRN and SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90.
