Claressa Shields Ready to Make History

 American Olympic Champion Claressa Shields will make history tomorrow night by contesting the first women’s boxing match to achieve main event status on a pay-TV service.

 The Double Olympic winner will fight Hungarian Sylvia Szabados at the MGM Grand in Detroit.

The bout will be broadcast on ShoBox in the United States.

The 21-year-old recently turned professional after triumphing in London and Rio, and this will be her second competitive fight. The middleweight, nicknamed ‘T-Rex’, won her first bout by unanimous decision.

She will fight to claim the North American Boxing Federation middleweight title.
