Citroën Extends Deal as Official Automotive Partner of Arsenal

May 14, 2014

French car manufacturer Citroën has extended its partnership with Arsenal FC for a further three years.

The new deal means that Citroën will continue in its role as the club’s Official Automotive Partner and will further strengthen a successful association that began in 2008.

Retaining significant branding presence around Emirates Stadium, see Citroën will build upon its integrated partnership programme, medical with a range of new marketing, digital, dealer and promotional activities. Citroën will also continue to amplify the association outside the UK, within its home market of France.

As part of the agreement, Citroën will provide a number of vehicles for Arsenal coaches and staff. They will be able to choose from Citroën’s award-winning vehicle line-up, including the New C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso MPVs, and the distinctive DS line. The soon-to-be-launched New C1 and C4 Cactus models will also be made available to the Club’s fleet in due course.

Citroën’s versatile LCV range, including the recently revealed New Relay, will continue its pivotal role in the transportation of equipment around the country, as well as supporting the Club’s community outreach programmes.

Linda Jackson, Citroën UK’s managing director, told arsenal.com: “Citroën and Arsenal have enjoyed a positive and successful partnership since 2008 and we’re delighted to be continuing that association. This is a very exciting time for the Citroën brand and we look forward to sharing our fresh thinking and excitement for our new models with Arsenal and the Club’s loyal fan community.”

Vinai Venkatesham, sales and marketing director at Arsenal, added: “Citroën continue to bring tremendous enthusiasm to our association and we have enjoyed a hugely successful partnership since 2008. We are delighted to be extending and strengthening our partnership with Citroën yet further, which will run until at least 2017. We look forward to working closely with them to develop new ideas and engaging projects focused at Arsenal fans as well as the wider football community.”
