The Chinese Basketball Association has signed a major, long-term rights deal with broadcasting service Migu.
Migu will have broadcasting rights to the CBA for the next five years, from the start of the 2020/21 season to the close of 2024/25, in a deal worth almost USD$3 Billion.
The company will also get an ‘official sponsorship’ package with the league as well as the wide-ranging broadcast rights, which have differing exclusivity limitations.
In addition to the rights deal and sponsorship, Migu will create a special ‘5G Network Laboratory’ with the CBA as they look to create a wide range of new features that will be benefitted by the rollout of 5G.
