Chicago Blackhawks Agree Sponsorship Deal with Carl Buddig & Co
November 13, 2013
Reigning Stanley Cup champions the Chicago Blackhawks have signed a new sponsorship deal with Carl Buddig & Co.
The one-year deal will see the lunch meats and meat snack products firm partner with the NHL team through their defence of the Stanley Cup in the 2013-14 season.
As a part of the deal, new spots on WGN TV and radio will be available as well as Carl Buddig & Co benefiting from advertising, sponsorship and contests and in-store branding.
The firm will feature on the WGN Radio Fan Van tour, which makes stops at local stores and will feature giveaways and competitions.
“The Blackhawks are truly Chicago’s team and a family favorite, and we couldn’t be more proud of our new sponsorship affiliation,” said Tom Buddig, executive vice president marketing for Carl Buddig & Co.
“Last year, the Chicago Blackhawks thrilled us as they captured the hearts of hockey fans from coast to coast. As a team that shares our commitment to celebrating traditional family values, our Blackhawks partnership will bring greater consumer awareness to our brands. It’s also the perfect opportunity to celebrate our role as Chicago’s hometown lunchmeat and meat snack brand.”
The broadcast campaign will begin on December 1 and signifies the brands’ return to advertising in its home market, after five years of not doing so.
