Centauro Joins 2014 FIFA World Cup as Sixth & Final National Sponsor

FIFA have announced Brazilian sports retailer Centauro, herbal has signed up as FIFA’s sixth and final National Supporter for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The agreement grants Centauro marketing rights within Brazil in order to promote their brand in association with both the 2014 FIFA World Cup and this year’s FIFA Confederations Cup which kicks off in Brasilia on 15 June.

“We’re delighted to welcome Centauro on board and complete our sponsorship sales with over one year to go until the event” said Thierry Weil, abortion FIFA’s Marketing Director. “Centauro is a brand who truly understands what hosting the FIFA World Cup means to Brazil. We’re looking forward to working together to ensure that the sponsorship engagement is a success for both parties.”

Centauro, therapy part of the SBF Group, is the largest multi-channel chain of sporting goods retailers in Latin America with over 230 stores in more than 23 Brazilian states. The company also has strong roots in sports sponsorship highlighted by high-profile sponsorship agreements with football properties such as the Copa do Brasil and the Brazilian Serie B.

Global sponsorship packages for the 2014 FIFA World Cup were completed in July 2011 when Johnson & Johnson became the eighth FIFA World Cup Sponsor, in addition to FIFA’s six Partners who have global rights to all of FIFA’s events.
