Cavendish Agrees Personal Deal with American Pistachios
October 22, 2013
Sprint cyclist Mark Cavendish has agreed a personal endorsement deal with American Pistachio Growers (APG).
Cavendish will appear in a number of campaigns across the States to help promote the food as a healthy snack.
The 28-year-old said: “I’m proud to support America’s pistachio farmers in this educational campaign and to add my voice to the growing group of advocates who encourage people to exercise and be mindful of what they eat.
“The fact that I eat pistachios because I love them and because they’re recommended by my nutritionist makes it easy for me to say they’re my official snack.”
Cavendish will be supported by British Cycling nutritionist Nigel Mitchell and joins big mountain snowboarder Jeremy Jones and the US Olympic water polo teams in supporting APG.
