Castleford Reveal Stadium Changed to Mend-A-Hose Jungle

August 28, 2013

Super League club Castleford’s stadium will be called the Mend-A-Hose Jungle following a new deal with a long-term sponsor.

Mend-A-Hose Hydraulics Ltd had already been a sponsor of the Tigers and have now extended their deal to include the naming rights of the stadium which is fondly known as Wheldon Road.

The Tigers renamed the ground The Jungle after a sponsorship deal with an internet company and the ground was also called the Wish Communications Stadium for 2013.

From 2014 the ground will be known take on its new name and Castleford commercial director Mark Grattan commented: “As part of our search for a new stadium naming rights sponsor, we were looking for somebody who shared our desire to reinstate the name ‘The Jungle’, a hugely popular name amongst our fans, and we are absolutely delighted that Mend-A-Hose wanted the same.”

The Tigers hope to build a new stadium but so far have failed to attract the funding needed for the Glasshoughton site.
