Canon Named as Latest Official Gold Partner Tokyo 2020

The Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee have confirmed that Canon have been appointed as an official Tokyo 2020 Gold Partner.

The imaging manufacturer becomes the third partner of Tokyo 2020 as the official “Still Cameras and Desktop Reprographic Hardware” provider.

Tokyo 2020 President Yoshiro Mori (pictured) said: “It gives me great pleasure to announce that the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee has concluded a Gold Partner contract with Canon.

“Canon’s state-of-the-art still cameras and desktop reprographic hardware, including desktop printers, will capture and reproduce breathtaking images of the world’s leading athletes in full flight and record these for posterity. They will play a crucial role in communicating the wonder and inspiration of the Tokyo 2020 Games.”

Canon Chairman and CEO Fujio Mitarai, said, “We are delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games as the Tokyo 2020 Gold Partner in the category of Still Cameras and Desktop Reprographic  Hardware.
