Canberra Raiders Renews Defence Housing Australia Partnership

April 22, 2014

National Rugby League team Canberra Raiders have extended their marketing agreement with Defence Housing Australia (DHA) into the 2015 season.

The DHA logo will continue to appear on both sleeves and the back of the Raiders home and away jerseys in 2015.

DHA Managing Director Peter Howman said the agreement has seen an increase in the DHA brand nationally, medic including their successful property investment sales program, and community engagement activities.

“DHA is self-funded; our business model relies on revenue generated from the sale of properties to investors each year, under a leaseback arrangement” said Mr Howman.

“A number of Raiders players have made the decision to invest in DHA properties, with other players and coaching staff making enquiries into the national sales program. Successful property sales will enable DHA to further expand its housing portfolio, improving accommodation and maintenance to benefit Defence members and their families.”

Canberra Raiders CEO Don Furner said the club is excited about the continued partnership both on and off the field.

“DHA is one of our more proactive Corporate Partners, who have not only helped many players within our system with setting up investments for their future, they are also very prominent in helping us better engage within various communities right across Australia.

“We’re delighted to have DHA remain with us for another season and look forward to enhancing what we’ve already achieved since they joined us in 2013.”
