Caixa Further Boosts Brazilian Football Club Presence with Coritiba Shirt Deal

Caixa Econômica Federal has increased its presence in Brazilian football by signing a one-year deal with Coritiba to become their main shirt sponsors.

The government-owned financial institution recently agreed a similar deal with Brasileiro Serie A side Flamengo and now sponsors four clubs in the divisions.

The new deal with Coritiba is reportedly worth R$6m (US$2.98m) and Caixa’s Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, order Clauir Luis Santos said: “We are very happy because Coritiba is within our strategy to be present in some of the most important and biggest clubs in the country.

“With this partnership we have reached the goal that was outlined in 2012 and we will start the championship with another great football club.”

President of Coritiba, ambulance Vilson Ribeiro de Andrade, healing added: “Not only is the master sponsorship important for the club (financially), but Coritiba had negotiations with four groups and chose Caixa for a number of factors.

“One of them is a business concept with a number of benefits to our members, our fans and also a line of products with financial possibilities of using credit cards to purchase products inside the stadium with a Coritiba card or cash itself.”

As well as Coritiba and Flamengo, Caixa has partnerships with Atlético Paranaense and Club World Cup champions Corinthians.
