National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Memphis Grizzlies have revealed they have extended their partnership with C Spire Wireless.

C Spire will remain the official wireless provider of the Memphis Grizzlies through they 2015-16 season.

The sponsorship will include an expansion of interactive consumer and fan engagement initiatives, as well as mobile offerings for the Grizzlies’ marketing promotion and technology department.

Chad Bolen, vice president of corporate partnership sales and services for the Grizzlies commented on the renewal: “(C Spire’s) personalized wireless program, along with the unique offers and incentives we can both share with each other’s customers, will further enhance our brands in Memphis and integrate well with our regional efforts.”

Jim Richmond, vice president of corporate communications for C Spire, said the first year of the sponsorship allowed the company to tie in activities with Grizzlies’ fans at C Spire’s retail locations. That will be expanded through the new relationship. He said the team’s success couldn’t have come at a better time as the partnership has matured.

“We want to build on the success we’ve had and drive even more through the new sponsorship agreement,” Richmond said. “Typically, we like to invest sponsorship dollars in entities people are very passionate about.”
