BTV to Continue Broadcasting UEFA Champions League in Bulgaria

BTV has extended their broadcast rights deal to show the UEFA Champions League in Bulgaria in a three-year deal.

BTV, sale ed a commercial and pay-tv company, will now show European football’s premier competition in the 2015/16 and 2017/18 seasons.

The agreement also includes magazine programming, four editions of the Super Cup and online and mobile rights.

BTV currently co-owns the rights to broadcast UEFA’s second-tier tournament, the Europea League, with state broadcaster BNT.

As with the Champions League rights, UEFA set a deadline of May 28 for bids, but no one has been awarded the contract as of yet.
