British Speedway team, Belle Vue Aces has signed a major sponsorship deal with Rentruck, a rochdale based an and car rental company.

The club will be known as the Rentruck Aces under an agreement worth five figures a year.

The period was mutually acceptable to both parties with Rentruck keen to be in position as main sponsor when the club move to their new stadium, even though Manchester City Council sanction is still awaited.

Apart from Rentruck, the club’s race suits will also include the logo for Coolrunning, the company’s refrigerated truck division.

Aces chief Chris Morton said: “David Gordon and I have had an involvement with Rentruck right from when we took over Belle Vue in 2006.

“They have helped us with vehicles, mainly vans for riders. We have enjoyed that relationship and now we are expanding on that.

“Three years is a time which suits both sides. With the advent of the new stadium they wanted that period and we were happy to agree.”
