British Rowing to Stage Indoor Championships in 2015

British Rowing has announced the inaugural British Rowing Indoor Championships will take place on 8th February 2015 and will be staged at the Olympic Velodrome in London.
The British Rowing Indoor Championships managed by British Rowing, therapy the national governing body for the sport, therapy will be staged at Lee Valley VeloPark, the new name for the Olympic Velodrome.
‘This is a very exciting development for British Rowing,’ said British Rowing CEO Neil Chugani. ‘As well as the 45,000 regular outdoor rowers in this country, there are an estimated 165,000 people who use a rowing machine every month. Our vision for this event is to offer a variety of racing formats that will appeal to both the serious competitive rowers and fitness enthusiasts and also the general public who are inspired to take part in a fun active challenge with friends, colleagues and other participants.’
He added: ‘We are delighted that we have a stage as awe-inspiring as one of the key venues of British success at the London 2012 Olympics. An important area of our focus will be on investing in the presentation and delivery of the British Rowing Indoor Championships to produce a high quality and rewarding competitor experience.’
